Fall Fabric Pumpkins

Do you all love and adore the cute and fabulous fabric pumpkins that are all over the place right now? Let me tell you I most certainly do. I fell in love with the black and white buffalo plaid ones at Hobby Lobby. I had to grab some of course. It's the law right? Well, in my mind it is anyway, lol.

I see so many wreath designers and other crafters starting to make and sell them all over the place. Now if you all don't quite know me well just yet, you need to know that I am one of those die hard, I can make it myself kind of gals. So what did I do? I went and picked me up some fabulous materials, like new finds at Goodwill, a bag of fiberfill from Walmart, and sat myself right down and got busy.

I started with a pillow sham that I intended to repurpose into some fabulous pumpkins. I watched nearly every You Tube Video there is on DIY Fabric Pumpkins.

Here is the Sham I decide to start with. It is a lovely brown and marroon colored two patterned sham. I thought it would be great to start out with.

I cut it into four pieces and the journey began.

After a bit of hand stitching, stuffing and wrapping I ended up with these little creations. I placed some Fall leaves on some just to see if I liked it or not. I did not have anything I could use for the stems. By this time it was around 4:30 in the morning and I needed a nap. Stems would need to wait for a bit.

After a short nap I ran to town and picked up some assorted items that I thought I could use to finish off the tops. After another session in my trusty craft chair, I came up with this little cuties.

What do you all think? I am happy with them. Available in my Etsy Shop. Now on to the next Set.
